The eight-page shape
Eight pages is the classic anthology and minicomic length: two sheets folded, or one signature of a bigger book. The structure here gives each page one job: hook, setup, complication, escalation, turn, crisis, climax, resolution. Page 1 sits alone on the right, so pages 1, 3, 5 and 7 end on page turns: the hook, the complication, the turn and the climax each land on a flip. Use the prompts as questions, then replace them with a sentence describing the page.
