Where the numbers come from
Each printer preset mirrors the service's published file setup guide: Mixam's comic spec, PrintNinja's setup guide, Ka-Blam's 7 x 10.5 in full-bleed template, IngramSpark's file creation guide, and the six trim sizes in Comix Wellspring's file prep guide, from 5 x 7.5 in manga to US Letter. The standard-size presets carry the industry defaults of 0.125 in bleed and 0.25 in safe. Apply a preset to a project and every tool inherits it. Specs change, so verify against the printer's current template before ordering.
Comix Wellspring paused new orders in 2026. Its presets keep the numbers from its last published guide for books already set up to its templates. That guide gives the safe area as 0.25 in in one place and 0.125 in in another, so the presets use 0.25 in, which satisfies both.
